St. Michael the Archangel, you are the prince of the heavenly host of angels and the guardian of souls. You watch over us and protect us as we strive to live with faithfulness. As patron saint of soldiers, we ask you to look after those who have served our nation in the military..
Both call for us to make God our dwelling and in both the psalmist declares that God is their refuge

Indeed I found a story circulating that tells of a Brigade commander in WWI who gave a little card with Psalm 91 on it to his men who were in the Brigade of the same number – 91st Brigade. They agreed to recite this daily
Indeed Psalm 91 is quite commonly known as the soldier’s psalm as it is said many soldiers in WWI recited this psalm daily.

A man who died in what is now Germany about 1,800 years ago went to his grave wearing a religious amulet around his neck that may change what we know about the spread of Christianity.
Archaeologists found the 1.4-inch-long amulet on a skeleton in a cemetery near modern-day Frankfurt, reports CNN. At the time the man died between 230 AD and 270 AD, the region was part of the Roman Empire.
